IUP Dining: A Broad Array of Little Options
IUP Campus Dining
Upon attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania as full-time students, my fellow students and I soon discovered that dining options on campus were an issue. The hours of the multiple different dining locations feel much too short and should be extended to give students of IUP time to make it worth swiping their meal card. For the most part, most of the dining options on campus close at 7-7:30 which does not allow students the option of dining on campus, past this period. Extending the hours would provide students with optimal time to get food on campus before this timeframe.
Our Mission
Through our advocacy campaign, our mission is to speak out for the students attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania, (IUP), raising awareness and providing suggestions on how to fix the inconsistent and lacking dining options on campus. The current situation causes students to feel rushed to eat with dining halls closing as early as 7pm on an average night. The extension of the hours of operation would provide students with ample time to get and enjoy their food. On top of this, many quality-of-life improvements could be made with regards to order in options and more meal swipe opportunities. We believe that if they would extend the hours of the dining halls and make more things be covered with a meal swipe many people would enjoy it. It would also help make students when eating not feel rushed because they will have more time to just sit down and eat.
Dining Options
On IUP's Campus there are 3 main dining places which are North Dining Hall, The Hub, and Crimson Café. These three places all for the most part close between 7/7:30pm.
